Waspadai Pinjaman Online Ilegal

Securitynews.co.id, PALEMBANG- Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Regional 7 Sumbagsel mengungkapkan bahwa masyarakat dapat cerdas dalam mewaspadai pinjaman online ilegal yang saat ini marak terjadi.

Hal ini diungkapkan oleh Kepala Kantor OJK Regional 7 Sumbagsel, Panca Hadi Suryatno saat kegiatan sosialisasi bersama Ketua RT dan RW Kota Palembang, dan bersama Anggota DPR RI Komisi XI Fraksi Partai Nasdem, Fauzi H Amro MSi di Dipo Cafe Palembang, Kamis (09/01).

“Kita berharap masyarakat jangan tergiur dikarenakan proses yang cepat dan mudah. Karena yang ilegal itu memang bunga dan dendanya itu sangat tinggi,” katanya.

Ia menyebutkan  bahwa banyak perbedaan antara pinjaman online ilegal dan pinjaman online. Menurut data yang dihimpun pihak OJK, sebanyak 1898 situs yang menyediakan pinjaman online ilegal. Sementara untuk data pinjaman online legal terdata sebanyak 164.

“Untuk menindak hal tersebut, kita saat ini telah meminta pemblokiran situs melalui satgas waspada investasi, yang beranggotakan OJK, Kemenkuminfo, Kementerian Perdagangan, Kepolisian hingga kejaksaan,” ujarnya.

Panca juga menjelaskan, bahwa pinjaman online yang masuk dalam kategori ilegal juga akan dilakukan tindakan lain melalui Kabareskrim. “Karena memang mereka itu jika kita lakukan pemblokiran situsnya melalui Kemenkominfo, mereka juga pasti akan membuka kembali situs yang sama dengan nama yang berbeda,” ucapnya.

Sementara itu, Anggota DPR RI Komisi XI Fraksi Partai Nasdem, Fauzi H Amro MSi menyebutkan bahwa sosialisasi tersebut sengaja diadakan guna memberikan penjelasan kepada masyarakat tentang Peraturan OJK untuk mampu membedakan antara pinjaman online ilegal dan pinjaman online legal.

“Jadi kita tadi menyarankan kepada  masyarakat, khususnya RT dan RW di kota Palembang untuk dapat lebih berhati-hati terhadap pinjaman online ini. Karena dalam Undang-undang nomor 6 tentang Financial Technologi (Fintech) itu bunga per harinya 0,5 yang legal, jika lebih dari itu berarti ilegal,” tandasnya.
