Securitynews.co.id, PALEMBANG- Gubernur Sumsel H Herman Deru melalui Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Provinsi Sumsel, S.A Supriono membuka langsung Rapat Koordinasi Persiapan Pemilu dan Pemilihan Serentak Tahun 2024 di Hotel Wyndham Palembang, Selasa (21/6).
Sekda berharap adanya rakor ini dapat menyatukan persepsi dan meningkatkan sinergitas antara Pemprov Sumsel, KPU Sumsel, Bawaslu Sumsel serta lembaga atau instansi terkait lainnya. “Dengan begitu pemantapan persiapan penyelenggaraan pemilu dan pilkada serentak akan terwujud komitmen bagi kita semua,” ungkap Supriono saat membacakan sambutan tertulis Gubernur Herman Deru.
Tak hanya itu, Supriono mengatakan setelah ditetapkan seluruh tahapan dan jadwal pelaksanaan yakni dipertengahan Juni 2022 maka peran Pemerintah daerah terkait ini dengan cara menjamin ketersediaan anggaran mulai dari tahapan hingga dilaksanakannya pemilihan serentak. “Tak hanya itu peran yang kita lakukan adalah memberikan pendidikan politik bagi seluruh masyarakat. Agar terwujudnya pemilihan yang bebas dari politik uang, serta mendorong terwujudnya suasana yang kondusif, aman, damai dan lancar,” ungkapnya.
Peran tak kalah penting lagi lanjut Sekda adalah untuk menginisiasi para peserta mulai partai politik, paslon harus mendeklarasikan taat prosedur dan mekanisme pemilihan serta lainnya. “Semoga Pemilu 2024 di Sumsel dapat berjalan sukses,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Ketua KPU Provinsi Sumsel, Amrah Muslimin mengatakan Pemilu 2024 berbeda dengan Pemilu 2019, dimana Pemilu 2024 penyelenggara Pemilu memiliki tugas yang lebih berat karena ada pilpres dan pilkada serentak di 17 Kabupaten/Kota serta Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur di Sumsel. “Ini tantangan yang luar biasa maka dari itu saya berharap betul bantuan dari stakeholder yang ada. Dengan Kekompakan yang terlihat dari pemilu sebelumnya saya yakin penyelenggaraan 2024 di Sumsel akan sukses,” tandasnya.
